Me and Shani are going to JessE's gravesite on Sunday, January 25th.. thats 2009 for some of you.. anyway, we're inviting anyone who might wanna come along for this. Also, we're not trying to make this a CAR meet or anything like that.. this is strictly for JessE, so leave the drama at home, thanks

This is almost a full month's notice, so no whining about how you didnt know or any of that mess.

We should all meet up before hand, somewhere along the way so no one has to drive out of the way (like the Winter Haven thing last yr), so if you guys on the east side wanna meet up first, then head thru here, we can then all meet up in the middle or something, then cruise the rest of the way as a group.

It's going to be a car meet. Not to be rude but jesses' friends have it like that. He loved our meets and like me, drove out of his way so many times to hang out with this group.

We want to continue to live out his dreams and be happy no matter what. It's what he tried to always make sure happened.

What time are we thinking because i had told jason and gilberto that I'd prob be there around noonish, when the sun is highest.

I think you said it best. Besides if you don't want it to be a car meet then why post it on a car forum. Call the people.

the reason I posted it here is 'cause this is the most reliable and easiest way to get ahold of everyone since I dont have everyone's numbers to begin with.. and even the ones I do, its like pulling teeth unless its a meet idea

and no, this does NOT have to be a car meet.. not everything we do as a group HAS to be a meet. I think its pretty disrespectful to get together on that day and at the place, just to talk about cars and all that sh*t.. thats the time and place to pay respects to a fallen friend, not hang out. I know that we all met and became friends 'cause of this site and/or the car scene in general, but there are those times when you gotta put it to the side and forget about it for just a lil bit. after its all said and done, I could care less what we do but for that time being, focus on something other than the cars

Evan you make no sense to me. Again what Omar said is soo true. Look at it how you want to but you put a bunch of car people in one location for whatever reason and it is a car meet. You have to gethere in cars, his old car might be there, and he was a car person. Nothing wrong with that. You can pay respect to anyone or anything and be doing cars. Face it most of us here are real car people will always be doing something to some kind of car regardless of make and model. It is in our blood. Nothing wrong with that.

you can look at the situation all you want but jesse had the best times at car meets with us.
sure, he did other things but there are many ways to pay respects to such a great friend like him.
it may hurt to think that he's gone but he's wanting us to continue to grow and be better.

in honor of jesse, lets have friends come out and take some time to be there for one another

I agree with Omar & John, it should be a meet. JessE always drove 2+ hours ONE way to hang with all of us for a few hours and talk cars and everything else. I think he at least deserves a meet at his place once a year.
And it's going to be made into a meet regardless. Especially if we all end up with each other in one place with all our cars.
And why not talk about cars with JessE?? I'm sure he wants to know who's done what!

I will pass the word along. Everyone start saving your gas money now and save the excuses for something else.

I knew I'd need my last post of the month for this.....

I understand what all you people are trying to say, I really do so dont think I'm oblivious or dont know whats what... but really, is it that hard to sit down, say a prayer and just spend time at his grave and really, spend time with him? I know I dont come off as the religious or spirtual type, but then again, no one really knows that side of me anyway.. but I think its appropriate to devote some of that that time to just him and not the car thing. his grandmother did tell me that the J scene was one of the biggest things in his life, but there was more to him than that and I was lucky enough to find that out, as I know most of you got to as well. and its not like I'm asking for some all-day thing.. just however long it'd take to say what you gotta say, then we could go do whatever

i don't know what to say. it's like u want to separate the two. car meet and time for jesse. they are the same evan.
you can't devote time to just him and not the car thing. the car scene meant soo much to him. you can't just leave that out.
i'm all for meeting up with everyone and remembering all the good times. when he looks down at us, i don't want him to frown cuz we're sad. i want him to smile cuz we're happy
i guess you just have something you have to say then. i know you don't live as close as i do so you go ahead and do what you gotta do
i find myself remembering jesse everyday and being happy. thats what he always wanted.

I can't believe there is even an argument over this. Can't the Central FL crew do ANYTHING without making it a big deal?? I get so tired of seeing this.

Evan, your acting like we're all going to drive down/up/over there and just just sit in the parking lot and talk cars and not visit him. We're all adults and I would think that we all know that is not what we're there for. I don't even think that was a question in anyones mind to just stand around and talk smack about our cars like we do every time we see eachother.
But you CANNOT expect it not to happen at some point during the day with everyone together with their cars. If you don't want to talk about your car when the conversation comes up, then don't, how hard is that?

Don't worry Evan, this isn't going to be all fun and games.
