So yea I get to work today, take a 40k Infinity to the dealer to get work done go back dick around a bit and then I felt like I didn't get much done today at work SOOO outta the greatness of my heart I went out and started working on the lot. I get close to being done and its about 3:30pm... I got to work at 8am!
So my boss calls me and he wanted me to come up stairs with him and the GM.
Then I get inside and I see the HR chick come in and I'm like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck...
So yea I got lay-ed off today ( because they said they eliminated my job )
What a great way to start off the New Year!!
( best part was 35% of the cars on the lot i was working on were either left on or keys were in the doors )

Try craigslist job postings, orlando forums in the job section, snagajob.com, etc etc. (Or even go apply at the mall *gag*) Or try that new 7-11 right down the road from you, thats a good place with benefits!
Just grab anything you can that's at a decent starting price ($7.50+) and don't be picky, cuz you can always keep looking and find something better, but find something quick before things get bad for you!

I would take whatever I can get if I could get anything.. yes, I've even tried 7-11 with my mom practically in tears pleading me not to, but they've all told me that they're on a hiring freeze. I got a buddy who works for a Shell in Maitland, and even he said that all the conveinience stores are cuttin people back and layin people off
and Jess, you know I'm on all those job sites.. you've asked me that a hundred times before, and even suggested Snag-A-Job to begin with. and why the f*ck are you jumpin my sh*t and tellin me not to whine? all I was sayin is that you apparently lucked out over there, and I wish it woulda worked out for me too... in fact, just about every one of you are pretty much givin me sh*t for no f*ckin reason. none of you know the hell I've went thru since September trying to find work, taking whatever sh*tty job I can grab thats borderline scam and pretty much only breaking even with the gas I'm spending, if I'm lucky

Believe me I'm thanking god everyday right about now, Disney is cutting our hours from week to week and amazingly I've been lucky enough to pick up extra shifts in other parks to get to where I need to be hour wise... I honestly dont know how some of our other photographers with 3-4 kids and the only person working in the household are even doing it since I'm barely scraping by.. My main thought right now is if Disney or another stable company is hiring for anything, and I do mean anything (I started out selling bloody popcorn in the world showcase) go for it, that will be at least something to cushion the hardships that I know are gonna happen the next year. Think last year was bad I've already been told by many people we havent hit the big fan yet.. and being in a position that isn't considered "Union" like most departments in Disney I'm scared to death they'll knife us b4 anything else. Likeliness is less but ya never know. Just keep looking guys we all can make it through this craphfest hopefully.
