We ( mf gf & I) have started planning my move to FL and Ruskin is one of the areas were looking at. Can anyone tell me about the area? I know where its at just looking to see if anyone has some inside news about the school system, population, environment, stuff like that...

theres alot of people in golf carts lol. i dont really know about the town to much. just that when i go to sun city center i almost get ran over my a golf cart at least twice lol

only been there once, in the dark, following a smoking truck home ... dont ask lol
seemed like a really quiet town. dont know much about it tho

From what I hear, its a pretty small town 10k people or so

we found a home today down there and talking with a realtor tomorrow hopefully they will be able to give us some more details

Well should be at the end of the year. Im still working out the details for my transfer at work same goes for my GF.

I will be working in tampa, and my gf will be working in clearwater

I lived in Bradenton for 24-ish years, so I've been around, sadly I couldn't afford living in FL so I'm now in Henderson NC.

I work in downtown tampa and live in clearwater. The one thing that no floridians mentioned (disappointment) is that there is a whole lot of cops down here. I am originally from wisconsin and i can tell you its night and day difference down here when it comes to the PO-9. Just a friendly heads up.

Eh im a Floridian, when theres less cops around that makes me nervous, then that means they are hiding! Lol

I just got back from Ruskin.. Took a couple days to check things out and its fantastic

I got off the plane on Friday night it was like 75 a little humid not bad at all the weekend was prefect..

I drove around Tampa a bit and enjoyed the area.. Pretty much for sure planning on the Ruskin area now for sure

You guys down there need some rain for sure I was taking to someone down there they said no rain in the past 4 weeks?!?! You can def tell thats true out in the country

^^ Yup they keep threatening us with rain, but havent seen anything yet!
Glad you had a good trip. Must have been cooler weather down that way this weekend, it was 95+ (or at least felt like it) up here!

rain season starts beginning of june...also known as hurricane season...you can almost set your clock to when its goin to rain

ooo Im well aware of Hurricane season, my parents have a place in Marco Island and they always freak out about it..

But the rain is needed.. Not so much in downtown Tampa their were a thousand sprinklers going off down there to keep it looking good

So much for the no watering rule.. guess it doesnt apply to city areas
