i posted this in the maintenance forum,but i dont think its very active there. so ill post it here if thats ok

im replacing my break shoes on a 2003 and in the haynes manual, it says there should be a c lip on the bracket that holds the end of the e brake cable. but on the pads i removed and the new ones i bought there is not one. the bracket for the e brake cable is pressed on. i know this has been asked before, i did a search on my problem, and located a topic and they where saying that 03 has 2 different brake sizes? but auto-zone begs to differ

also the metal bar that is the shape of a funny looking w is broke in half i wonder if the wrong pads where put on and this cause it to snap.

ether way i can not get the freaking e cable to hook back on to this bracket
