I got this from a forum member on another site. He saw a build thread that I started over there and asked if I wanted it.
Oh, yeah I wanted it. He pulled it outa storage and we made a deal for it.
Does any body else have something like this hangin' in your garage? If so, lets see'em!
That is sweet!
Something interesting I saw when I was looking to buy a car (and ended up with my first Hawk). A Cavy hatchback in SS trim. I'm sure this was some dealer added option, but it was the only one I ever saw. It had a wood-like steering wheel and a sunroof.
An SS cavalier would be freaking sweet any body got any other details on this elusive car?
I wouldn't get too worked up about it, I'm sure it was just some graphics the dealer slapped on the car, and that steering wheel may have been aftermarket.
My friend had a '92 Cavalier GT, but it was nothing special, just a graphics package added by the dealer. I only ever saw one other one like that.

Could you describe the exterior of this SS Cavalier a little more. Sounds interesting.
Oh, but I will indulge anyway since it is such an oddity...
Hatchback, silver, orangish/blackish SS logos behind door. didn't know enough about z-24 to tell you if it had ground effects, 80s black louvers on rear window, possibly a blacked out grille. sunroof, grey, and black interior, that wooden steering wheel, left blinker didn't work (guy said it was the switch), hatch leaked (forgot about that until just now), rally style rims???? not sure how to describe those rims. they had a few double spokes coming from center with black chevy logo center caps. sunroof had sort of a darkish screen in it, like a sunshading built into the window like some cars now have near the edges of the windshield, 2.0, automatic. my dad drove it, so I couldn't tell you about gauges/idiot lights. the more i picture it, it doesn't have the ground effects.
that photographic memory...it's a blessing and a curse!
I am slightly partial to the 85 type 10 coupe for some reason.Mine came with a factory sunroof too.
