Hey-
What kind of jack did the 84 Comvertibles come with? Mine never had one. Trying to clean up the trunk a little and was going to put one of those styrofoam holders in the well like my grand am had. Just noticed the jack is the new style and obviously will not work with the frame rails on the convertible.
Anyone have a pic of theirs?

Was there really a different jack for the verts???
I thought in 84, GM had a basic jack for all cars.
I learn so much all the time here.
I will pull mine out of sunny monday and snap a pic to show you what mine looks like.I would think the jacking points should be the same vert,coupe etc.Unless someone beats me to it.

I have a floor jack in my trunk... lol I hate those crank ones.

Sorry, have been working on a few projects lately. Just finished the LS1 brake upgrade on my Camaro. Getting ready to run it at MIS on the 2nd. The Sunbird has been driving me crazy. I am on my third pan gasket changed and it will not seal. I did have a blocked pcv system which may have been contributing. I will update that thread later.
I have the correct jack but with the newer style foam box. I was thinking of using this setup and "nbbling out" the metal one that is there. To do it the stock way, I need to get a retaining bolt for the jack.
