So I went back to the junkyard this weekend and ran into something interesting. An 88 turbo sunbird convertible 5 speed that was de-turbo'd. They cut the turbo in 1/2 and blocked it, and ran the airbox direct to the throttle body. I guess they did not have money to fix the turbo when it went. You never know what you are going to find on 8 mile.
The interesting thing I found was the size of the bolts on the pan gasket. They were larger than the ones I was using to secure mine so I grabbed them. My 2.0 pan came off a n/a 2.0 OHC car as I thought they were the same as the turbo ones. Still does not explain why it won't seal, but I grabbed the bolts for use later...
They also had several 2nd gen z24s, an 85 Sunbird hatch and even a olds firenza 4-door.
Is Parts Galore well stocked right now? Mainly looking for Q4 engines.

I don't know if I would call them well stocked. As you know, it is a crap shoot, you never know what you will find....
They did have a 94 Camaro with parts that I needed yesterday
