Removing membership
Monday, August 30, 2010 6:19 AM

OK guys, tired of having to constantly keep signing in to forum, sooooooo need directions/help on how to remove myself from this site.

Take care, it's really been fun. I'll continue to enjoy and restore my Turbo Buicks.

...really?

I sign in once when I clear my browser cache and have it remember my login. Never had a problem. :/

Say it isn't sooooooooooooooooo???

Your knowledge will be missed around here.

You just dont' like having to add your user id/password when you come to the site?

Are you removing (deleting) cookies all the time when you close your browser (some people think this is a good security measure/way to make Explorer run faster, but neither is true)? That will make the site forget your information.

Hi Wayne, how you and yours doing? No I don't delete cookies, I save them for later at snack time :> !

Everytime I try to enter I must signin with sig & password.

No Hooptie, it's not hard, but it's a royal PITA ! I belong/post on 33 diff forums, and yes it can get old real fast having to sign in. Thanks for your wonderful input, just what I needed. It does look good in your profile with all of those six word posts though ! What kind of first gen do you have ?

Yes I do click the "remember me" also. Maybe that's the prob... y'all don't want to remember me LMAO !

Yes I did have to sign back in to post this..........................

We are doing good in our little neck of the woods, thanks for asking. Stacey wants me to buy your doors so I can get her more plants. I need to buy your doors, my junkyard quest failed on epic proportions

Maybe if you used a different browser instead of I/E it would remember you better (anything Microsoft is gonna be a headache).

Wayne, tell Stacey those should be just about ready to bloom, maybe in a bit longer, because it's colder up where you are. As for more plants, show up with a truck, I have enough for everyone. Can't beat the price, not many things are free any longer, except bad advice ! Tell her she can have the gardener also, if you take the whole car :> lol.

Have a Dell with I/E and an Imac... both suffer from same disease. It's strange, only jbods causes this to happen. Good for a few days and then bingo... all gone, have to sign in again.

I'll keep in touch with you, in middle of a large project and it doesn't leave much spare time at present.

Later... give the "pups" a milk bone for me ! Alan

I better not tell her about the gardener offer, as much as it would kill her to see another Hawk parked out front, she just might buy the car herself for her personal gain of a gardner...

Make sure your browser isn't in Privacy Mode, or Incognito Mode, or Private Browsing mode. That'd be the only thing I can think of that would destroy saved session information like that.

Mike--the browser should always return to non-privacy mode upon opening, so unless Alan would be putting it in that mode every time (doubtful since he doesn't have trouble elsewhere), that wouldn't matter.

Mike & Wayne... thanks for the hints, but as Wayne stated, i'm in non-privacy mode. No peeking when the lights are out now :>O !

Didn't know I needed to still own a first gen to post here. Thanks for the heads up though!

If you have a hard time keeping track of what username goes to what site, Then you may spend a little too much time online...

Mike.... perhaps you should re-read my reply, as some folks look at posts, but don't always "read" them, myself included.

My mind isn't totally gone yet, and I definately don't have a problem with my memory either.

The post stated that signing in was a PITA, which it is. I didn't state that I couldn't remember my sig and password. Besides sir, there's a small box, kinda like some folks minds, that IF you check it, it remembers your access codes. That also was stated in the reply. I checked the "small" box !

How much "time" I spend doing anything is of no concern to you. Only my completeness and the clarity of my posts have any bearing on any site I visit, in the USA or Europe.

As an added bonus to you, something I usually don't do with inane remarks..... I NEVER stated that you needed to have in your possession a 1st. Gen anything. Those outstanding words came from your mouth. I only inquired as to what TYPE of 1st. Gen you had...... excuse me for being curious, but some folks, myself included don't list, nor update the vehicles file(s). Mine personally would include 5 bikes, 2 trailers, 3- 1st. Gens, 1 Vintage sports racer, 1 Classic Buick, 1 Super pro drag car, 1 '23 T Fuel altered roadster and a Landspeed racing BMW 328iS. That of course doesn't include my 3 street vehicles.

Wayne, did I miss any, as you & yours have been to my home ? Oh yeah, you haven't seen one of the street vehicles, a new VW Sportwagen TDI six speed stick. Very nice car !

Awaiting with "baited breath' for your reply Mike :>

Sounds like fun

That wasn't very awe(some). Do you always troll with kisses from your male respondents? Perhaps the "doggie, feeding the pups" is a "suggestive" idea? Sorry, I like motor vehicles, but hey what the heck.... you never know, do you?

Have a nice day, I made my point and didn't receive any rebuttals. Alan

You're askin me???

I was too busy drooling over those tail lights I waited 20 years for...

I remember a shell of a car you said was your drag car, the two hatchback Hawks, a cycle, and some really low to the ground crazy-looking thing I will guess was the '23 T Fuel altered roadster .

Back on topic, You were removing yourself from the site?

Re: Removing membership
Thursday, September 09, 2010 12:58 PM

Considering that I haven't received an answer to my question, as to how............. i'll cease to post on the site, due to the mentioned problems.

I would have thought that a moderator would have poked their head in here. That's what i'd have done, when I was asked to be a moderator on this site.

Take care folks, as stated its been fun, with the exception of these last few posts.

Those who need any of my billion parts can go thru Wayne, if he'll agree to this. He's a busy man also.

Alan
