anyone how how to replace the thermostat on a 94?
ummm I've never worked on a 2.2 but I would assume they're the same as the other 2nd gens, it just sits in the radiator cap housing, take off the cap and pull it out.

lol a '94 what? 2.0/2.2/3.1
if its a 2.2
where your upper radiator hose connects to the engine remove that housing (3 bolts) and its right there.
um.. its the square boxy four door one... its not my car so i really have no idea haha anyone have ideas? i founda how to on autozone.com but im not sure if its correct, im assuming its not the the radiator part because i got a gasket with it
dude if you don't even know what kind of engine you have the web probably isn't the place to get help. Is it a four cylinder or a V6? If its in the housing on the block (from what I understand on the 2.2) it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the gasket on the housing when you pull it off

According to that information, that would be where the lower rad hose connects to the water pump. If there's no thermostat there, then 1 of 2 things:
1) If it isn't where its supposed to be, where the upper rad hose connects to the engine, there should be something that looks like a thermostat housing. Try there. --or--
2) Somebody along the way forgot to put the thermostat back in before you became fortunate enough to try to find it.
Hi Dane
I think your thermostat is the one shown in 1987-91 2.2's. It is on the 1993 2.2 four doors I work on and it may still be in the same place in the 94's
