Ok heres the story. I cant find anymore 2.0 turbo motors around here were I live but I found 2 1.8 turbo motors. So heres my question whats the difference between the 2 motors and will the ECU and wiring harness work for the 2.0

Your better off posting this in the first gen forum since the 1.8 never came in a second gen, but I "think" the 1.8 dosent have the forged pistons, you'll have to ask about that. The 1.8's have a smaller turbo and if its a 5 speed its not the getrag from the 2.0's, actually its probobly a 4 speed isuzu and is nothing compared to the getrag, but it would be cool to have a 4 speed I cant see there being that big a diffrence in the wiring, and even if there is a diffrence it wont be a big deal, you can run a 2.0 off the 1.8 wiring, the only problem I can see you having is if your car has a diffrent dash than the donar car the harness wont plug in at the firewall and all the wiring under the dash has to be changed, you need to find a donar car with the same dash as your car, or do a lot of work and swap dashes, lol
When you take the harness unplug it at the firewall on each side and take everything from there forewardso you have all the wiring for the engine bay, lights, horn etc... then go inside on the passenger side and remove the harness from the firewall to the ecm and obviously take the ecm, then do teh same thing to your car and put the new harness in, it should all plug in (if the dash is the same)
