seats

A while back I put two 87 honda prelude buckets in my car and I just recently got a hold of two more that even turned out to be the same color and I'm putting them in the back in the next few days
My question is, my whole interior is black with some silver here and there and I was going to wrap my seats in black and silver vinyl, but then I found out a lot of bad things about vinyl, like how hot it gets in summer and how cold it is in the winter and that its slippery etc, etc... the tempurature thing dosent bother me that much but I dont know if I'll like how slippery it is, so now I dont know what to do, should I just leave the seats the way they are, find some nice seat covers that fit good and match the interior, or just say screw it and wrap them in vinyl? anyone got anything against vinyl seats?
just looking for an opinion on what to do with my seats, if you have anyother ideas I'd love to hear them as well.
thanks

Yeah the stuff will stick to you like glue once you start sweating...i say get those coverking custom molded seat covers...$200 for two seats, but it's supposed to be worth it...matches the curves like factory...

The only problem with suede is I cant really get silver suede, it will never look right, I might end up just making the seats all black if I cant find the right material.

how about the thigh & shoulder bolster areas in a black vinyl with silver/light grey cloth inners?
maybe add some silver stitching or piping for accent.

I like the silver stitching idea, I might end up doing that on black suede seats.
what I wanted to, since the seats have like flares at the sldes of them on teh parts you sit on and on teh back, I was going to do the flares black and the middle sliver, so its pretty much a black seat with a thick silver stripe going down it, I'm trying to get more silver into my interior cause its almost all black, except some parts on the dash and door panels, I figure if I can work some silver into the seats that would be perfect. Cant you get silver suede? I didnt think you could before but now that I think of it I swear I saw some before.

well if almost everyone says I should just do all black seats which I'll probobly end up doing I'll have to find other ways to get a little more silver into the interior, it looks pretty plain with every thing black. The only silver in the interior is vents on the dash, the trim around the guages and the bottom half of the door panels. The door panel thing made a big diffrence, but in the rear theres not to much going on except today I just finnished putting two buckets in and I've got a second sunbird console thats going back there soon

I dont want to paint that kind of thing silver cause I know it will get dirty, light painted surfaces always do. I'm actually pretty happy with the small silver accents, once I covered the litttle cloth parts in the rear inside panels in silver it looked a ton better.

Black suede seating... light grey inserts... light grey stitching.
Silver is NOT a natural material colour. it WILL look cheap. If
you have a black + silver sunbird than stick with black + light
grey materials.

I'll look around and see if I can find a grey I'm happy with, if so I may go that route.
thanks
