I finally got around to finnishing my clear corners, there a lot harder to make than the regular sunbird or cavy clears cause of the way the light is made. for those of you who have had these out before, you know what i'm talking about. The hole light is a sealed unit.
Anyways after a lot of cutting and some carefull measuring I came up with these:

Sorry for the quality my good camera crapped out on me so I'm stuck with this pos for a while. I'll have these on the car soon, and maybe post a few pics of them installed later.
wow, they look really descent. how long did it take u to make em? make me a set for my cavy, lol j/k. they look good though
People say that what doesn't kill you in this life
will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......
I just dont like how there the same pattern all the way acrossed, but I still like them better than the yellow ones and they're brighter than the other ones. On the inside theres a yellow lense I left in there, so I can still use clear bulbs and the corners light up a pretty noticable yellow, I'll get a pic of them lit up later.
Theres a how to on v6z24.com on how to make clear corners for cavys, there a ton easier. It took me a few days to make these ones cause I had to wait for the epoxy to dry everytime I put in on a part, if it wasnt for dry time I could do a set in about an hour and a half.
Saturday I'm leaving on a trip so I wont be back until monday, so dont expect any quick relopies to questions asked over teh weekend, I'll have pics of teh corners on teh car and lit up when I get back.

Heres a pic of them on the car, lol
I dont like to post pics of my car when its underconstruction and about eight diffrent colors, so until I'm done my extreior in about a month thats the most I'm posting of my car.
You never had a good camera
But that looks sweet!
Yeah, my dad lost the cord for it over a year ago and we just never got another one, then teh thing died, so we need a new one but will probobly never get around top doing that either, lol
thanks arch, Hows your motor swap going? Is it done now or what? I havent heard anything about it in a while.
No problem going off topic, I started it anyway, lol
That sux about your motor I was really looking foreward to see hwta that thing ran in the 1/4, you could always turbo the 3.1 you got now, you'd just need custom exhaust manifolds. and if they took teh wiring and all that as well then you have to do a few little mods to trick the ECM into accepting boost but its no big deal.
That really sux though, if someone stole my motor rigyt before it wnet in I'd kill something.
They look good man....I have an older Bird but I figure the yellow looks good on mine.
I was starting to think I was the only one left with this front end, lol since 89 Sunbird swapped a cavy front end on and everyone else on the org I've seen with this front end is a first gen.
anyways, I didnt really like the yellow ones, especially once I get it painted, I think they would look weird on a really dark car, I'm painting it the darkest purple I can find, so its pretty much black unless its under a street light or something then you can see a little purple. I think yellow would just look weird with black paint, and I like the clears cause there diffrent, I've only ever seen clears on this front end once on cardomain, but nobody on the org or around were I live has them so I'm happy with them, they look really wicked on the car, I decided once I finnished the body work on my car I'm going to post a few pics before it goes to primer, just to show how many colors the thing actually is.
I think I'm up to about eight or nine, lol
haha nice....Since your Mr efficiency....can you tell me why my car can beat standard 93 5.0 stangs?
Cause ford sux, lol
Sunbirds can run 13's stock, it just takes a manual boost controller to up the boost a little. I dont have any specs on teh mustang but the sunbird GT's are under ratted for insurance reasons so nobody really knows how much power they have factory and the sunbird is lighter so it takes less power to get it going.
Theres no real reason why you can beat people, You beat them cause your faster or can drive better, but I've seen a few posts were people bash the 2.0 turbo, not to many people understand the potential this motor has.
I know what you mean man....My posts always have atleast 20 bashers. I love how this car is under-rated....Do you know what kind of boost controller I should get....obviously electronic is better....But as far as manual goes....which one is best.
Just get a grainger valve, you can amke them for like $3 and install in a few minutes but you would also need a boost and air fuel guage to monitor whats going on or your engine would pretty much explode, lol
theres a link in my how to for how to make a grainger valve, just do a search for 2.0 FAQ and theres a link in theres somewere to a site that tells you how to make one.
Ya Ive already done my research on those....Ive heard plenty of bad things...turbo spike and lag problems....I might just go with electronic.
There fine if you put them in teh right line, they only spike and such if its placed wrong, there was a certian line it has to be put in, but an electronic one is definatly a better way to go. I'm going to be using a two stage grainger valve cause I'll be running really high boost and I need to be able to take off without roasting the tires, lol and I want a boost setting for teh street so the first one will be around 6 -10 and the second one will be way up there
Nice!......I wish it was possible to have a certain launch boost and it would gradually get higher as you take off.
I'm just going to have mine so it wont go past a certain poingt to try and eliminate wheel spin, then once I'm moving pretty good then I'll switch it to higher boost. The hole reason for it is traction on the strip and to make the car more streetable, theres no way I'd get any traction at the strip with over 20 pounds of boost no matter what RPM I take off at.
Yep......Are there any good electronic boost controllers for $300(canadian) or under?
I'm not sure, I've never really looked into electronic boost controllers cause I've always planned on just using the two stage grainger valve, and there pretty expensive.
