just looking wondering if it has been done befor or if any one had ne ideas on the sub
yup its been done plenty of times. Several places sell a kit for it.
I've always been told its better to put together your own kit though, using copper fittings and good 5/8" air lines. Apparently most of the kits use plastic fittings and smaller lines. Which makes for teh suck.
not a 2nd gen, but i have helped build the airride setup in abby87z24's car.
air ride is a waste of money but fun though. and can be very expensive i have the AIM kit if you have any questions let me know and i can help you out.

bagged91 how much was your kit and was it diff to install
also i have a complete audio sys so i was wondering if it was ok to mount some things like the air taink under the car
the kit i got was 1800 w/ half inch air line but i converted to all stainless steal hard line and brass fittings two compressors and a 5 gallon tank. know i have about 2500 in it all together. as far as the tank under the car if you run into a problem like a leak its hard to get to a lot of people still have a tank and subs in the back its a tight squeeze but it can be done or you could put all your air ride stuff in where your rear seat is thats if you don't have any passengers. mine is a two seater now due to subs back there. if you have any other questions let me know.

the rear is set up like a truck, front is strut bags.
Some people will sware on bags, others cylinders, and like most of my friends there all about the Juice (hydro's).
all go along the same to install, but i prefer air ride, shouldn't be too incredibaly hard to do, as long as you know how to weld (which you don't really have too weld) you'll be good.
...
to do air ride on a 2gen you have to weld there is no way around it.

didnt weld anything on my air ride on my 2nd gen

when ever i get all primed a deck lid and hood put on it. im still debating on going to ass in the grass. how did you mount bags in the rear w/o welding. i don't see how it would be posable, but i guess if there is a will there is a way.

it depends on what kind of bag mounts your using. you can use cups, which i beleave only need 1 bolt to go thru the lower one, since there's always weight on the top one.
my buddy scotty discribed it to me a while ago when i considered it, but i can't remember. however i've never done it, and didn't really follow thru with the bag idea so i can't really be too much help.
i was quoted a price of 1700 for 2 Viar compressors,5gal. tank, 2 strut bags/sturts, rear assembly, 1/2 inch line, 8 valves, and 8switch box. But that was from Sekond 2 None. A truck specialty company and with a discount.

well im not looking for anything major just a way to drop my car to the ground at shows and when im parking and a way to lift hight enoughf to go over some snow drifts
is theyr a cheaper way to make a kit your self (like using another type of compresser or something) all i want is up and down nothing fancy
and i realy dont want to spend much over 800 i know quality cost but i also know that im not realy going to abuse this kit that being said what are the week points of the cheaper kits (aka what makes them cheaper do they break or are they just not as fast )
good luck not spending over 800. the front bag struts alone cost that. might as well spend 2grand and get a good kit.
or else your bags are going to rip because there cheap, your compressors will go out, your lines will crack, ect.
trust me. it sucks when you have 2 corners of your car not able to hold air.
