ruh oh...

Had to take the wheels off today to get my flat repaired. l went to jack up the car, but the rear portion of the rocker panel is sorta... gone. About from where the rear fender starts back is rotted away. How do I fix this, or do I say forget it and wait till it falls apart then part it out?

Rich, if you have a local sheet metal shop in your area they can more than likely fabricate a pair for you. i went into the shop and asked the guy at the desk if they sold rocker panels for 88-94 cavaliers ( i live in canada where we use ALOT of salt on our roads, rotten rocker panels are a VERY common sight lol) and he sold me a pair that they whipped up. took them over to my buddy's garage and cut the old ones off. no black iron crap, this stuff was galvanized steel bent exactly the same as the stock ones from the factory. the new ones fit in so perfect i couldnt believe it. and they werent that much really.
