do all man z24 have the getrag man tranny and is it diff to swap in place of hte issusu man tranny

Yes all Z24s have the getrag or NVGT550 which is an updated version of the getrag.
Yes its a different trans than the isuzu , uses different axels, im not sure about the shift linkages or mounting but most likely they are the same.

i just checked at work (autozone) and it says that the man 2.2 and the man 3.1 have the same cv shafts is this right......
if not whats the diff and ware could i go to find out about the shift linkage and mounts

The axles are different. The Isuzu's are longer (at least the right side is anyways) and the Getrags are bigger diameter. The shifter is the same for both trannys. The cables are different (length wise). The Isuzus are shorter and won't reach the gate/gear selct arms on the trans. Only one is available aftermarket, the other is dealer only.

or i found a 3.1 mated to a man 5speed tranny from a z for 350 bucks what ya think is it a good deal

$350 isn't bad for an engine/trans combo, provided its in good shape. Mileage is key here.

So does the 3.1 motor bolt up to the 2.2 tranny? Please be nice I am new with this stuff...

Yes. The 2.0 OHV, 2.2, 2.8, 3.1, 3X00, 3400, all have the same bellhousing bolt pattern.
