I got really really pissed at my car after the last $300 repair. to the point i was considering a civic (of all cars). I finaly got to drive it again today and fell in love all over again. Im doing my conversion idea next year. Also planning on the head swap in the near future. I want to get what i need for the swap so i have it ready. Can someone give me a list?

im doin it right now

replace all parts with OEM parts

except

Roller rockers... get them from competition cams part number #1414-12 ... (its for a small block v6... but will work)

change over rocker studs too...

and get your head port and polished...

springs, lifters, valves... ect can all be OEM... you only need to upgrade those if you are planning on upgrading the cam...

ok, so what do i have to do for the push rods? I have to replace the timing cover? how in depth is that? You also confused me with the installation of the one sensor in the new heads. Should I just cut the guids off the gaskets anyways just to be safe?

oook, my car unfixed me. I was going to work then the car lost all power. I litterally had to burn away my clutch while reving the hell out of the engine to get it to a parking lot without stalling (thats how little power it had) I messed with it and got it to idle. stays in idle, but pops every now and then. soon as i even nudge the gas it goes to stall out. any ideas? im pretty certain im just going to sell it and be done with it.

I would say your timing slipped. I very well could be wrong but I had the same problem before with a chrysler caravelle. It would run fine for a while and then it would lose all power for a while then it would run fine for a while. I replaced the timing belt and retimed the engine and voila, no more problems. Something to think about.

its not like that. I'm pretty sure its just the fuel pump. Didnt replace that last year when i replaced the tank. Its also sounding louder.

Either way, no way im dropping the tank now. Its up in classified.
