3rd gen to 2nd gen strut compatibility....

Ok, I've got a set of Eibach Pro Kit springs on my 94 sunbird right now with some KYB GR2 struts. I have went through about 4 sets of front struts in the last 2 years. I don't drive the car that hard. I take turns fast, but I try to avoid any kinds of bumps, potholes, even the little reflector thingies on the road that seperate the lanes. I want to put a GOOD(read expensive!) set of struts on the car that won't blow out as frequent. I know that the strut choices are limited for the 2nd gens. I'm not a big Bilstein fan, but I do like Koni. My understanding is that Koni no longer has a listing for struts for 2nd gens? I thought that I read somewhere that 3rd gen struts will fit on the 2nd gens but they have to be installed backwards and the car has to be a 92-94??? An adjustable strut is preferred but not necessary. Anyone know where I can find something that will work? Thanks for your time, Paul Moore

Trying to become the most modded out N/A 2nd gen sunbird 4 cylinder on the org with a..... screw that, I'm going turbo!!!

2.Slow OHC I4
Ported cylinder head, intake and exhaust
Relocated IAT with a custom WAI with a 6x9 K&N conical filter
All this, and I still can't go fast.............yet!!

3rd gen struts will not work on a 2nd gen.. 2nd gens need the steering arm on the strut.
you can take a 2nd gen strut case and mod it to accept a koni strut cartridge though.
