HMMM... $2000 for a now 12 year old car, with a ( excuse me for saying this) POS automatic.. It would have to be in immaculate ( meaning extra great) condition or be customized or I wouldn't think so, but that's just my opinion.

who said i was gonna keep it a automatic and a 4 cyl...lol
All the more reason to chew the price down. 2 grand for a not-too-hard-to-find Sunbird leaves plenty of room for negotiations. Get the price down to $1500, max.
I agree, If you're going to be doing extensive mods, they are going to be costly, so why spend so much of that money on the car? I wouldn't just say yes, I'll pay you 2 grand for it.. Find every single thing you can that's wrong with the car and work down the price. I'm sure there are plenty of things wrong with a car that old, but who knows. If you think it's worth it, then go for it
i was panning on negotaiting, trust me.
Take your 2 grand to an auction and get one. You will have enough left over for some mods if you do. I only paid 550 at an auction for mine four years ago, and it's a turbocharged convertable that has all the power stuff, automatic, and a factory CD player (which quit working about a week before the radio quit working, so is now where my aftermarket CD player is).
