Is it full fiberglass construction or does it have a steel or aluminum framing?

The stock Z24 hood is full composite/fibreglass the whole way through.

Yup. Fiberglass skin, fiberglass frame. Makes it very easy to crack, so beware!

We did that with mine and my brothers z24 hood. Only we both don't use the hood for the "cowl induction" Cut them to aid in engine bay heat removal.

Also, all those holes in my hood were for weight reduction. I think there were 20 or so 2 inch holes I cut there and 60something 7/8ths sized holes. LOL. With cutting the holes and the underside there I lightened it up by 4 pounds. So now its only 31 instead of 35 (stock Steel hood is 40 pounds. So compared to my stock Sunbird hood I saved 9 lbs)
