i need some partnumbers for the 2.0 turbo's as well as advice
blew the Hg on the car finally
need the GM hg PN and reccomendations on what i should do while i'm in there....
1st 1st gen on air.....
GM# 10198888 is stock Sunbird turbo gasket.
Isuzu #80912904 is as good or better than that (the coolant jacket holes are smaller).
How much boost are you running? If you're under 17 lbs you should be all set.
I'd recommend checking the deck with a straight edge and having the head resurfaced to make sure it's flat.
You could use a Cometic gasket if you want to spend more money and if you really want to go nuts you could have the head bolt holes tapped to 1/2", use ARP studs and get the deck O-ringed. Of course you have to pull the engine apart for all that.
Hey, you asked.
