Out through the bottom is the easiest. Its possible to get it high enough on jackstands. Or lift the front of the engine (belt end) and tip it up past the MC. I've done it both ways.
sweet... okai... i'll let you know how it goes... i was on the phone with ya when we pulled the oil pan...
Cyl 1 rod berring was in the oil pan... and all the other ones were squished paper thin...
once i get the motor out.. its goin to the shop to get line bored, and the crank micro polished... then the block hot tanked....
then clevite 77 berrings, and a high performance milling oil pump... i cant wait...

er ... i think i was on the phone with ya... right???
I don't think so. I haven't talked to you in a few weeks.
To do it without removing the transmission, you are going to have to go through the top....basically, remove all the bolts holding the motor and tranny together, desconnect to the two connections at the firewall (1 driver side, 1 going through passenger side to ecm), remove the front and rear motor mounts, and it'll come right out...
