Ok I put in my new walboro fuel pump and when I went to test it for max psi it blew a fuse on the second test. Is there a reason it did this. Do i need to put in a bigger fuse? any help would be great.
Placing a higher amp fuse in does typically not solve the issue.Unless the pump u installed requires a higher amp fuse than the original oem fuse.Which normally in most cases a higher amp fuse can only make things worse by burning up the wiring due to heat b4 it blows the higher amp fuse.If ur new pump is to run like a oem fuel pump but just a different brand obviously and the psi is the same or close to spec,it sounds like u may have a wire that may have grounded and or could have a bare spot hitting metal or poor connection which in turn would ground out the wire blowing the fuse.Check ur plug wiring going into the pump for wear spots and a GOOD connection other than that I really would not b sure of the prob since it did not have the issue prior to the new installation of ur new pump.I hope this helps u out.
