obx header

hey everyone, i was told that the obx 4-2-1 header will work fine on my 93 cavalier rs (2.2L).

obx header from ebay

i tried asking the place on ebay that is selling it some questions, and haven't heard anything from them. i am rather hesitant on ordering from them because of this. does anyone know anything about this header?

does it include the gaskets to link up to the cat and to the block or just one or the other? does this have the triangular bolt up to the cat? what is the tube size at the end of the pipe? any info would be greatly appreciated. i have no idea why people on ebay don't get detailed on their products, but just from trying to find headers for my vehicle i can tell they must get a lot of questions. i wouldn't order a header without knowing everything about it. thanks in advance!

The header will bolt up to the engine ok. You will need to have a custom downpipe made to go from the header to your catalytic converter.

thanks for the info, the way they make it sound is that the downpipe is included. do you know what size the pipe is at the end of the header?

The downpipe is included, but it won't work because its made for a 3rd gen, so you need to have a custom one made.

You're better off ordering that type of thing from a reputable place, since you may end up getting a knock-off, and not the real deal. I don't know if it comes with gaskets, but I doubt it, my Pacesetter didn't. All you have to do is go to your pocal parts store and pick them up if it doesn't. They're pretty cheap, and the cat flange is pretty much universal.

Google "OBX racing sports cavalier". I found maybe ten or so places in the first page.

Hey man I bought the obx header off ebay and i have a 93 2.2L and it colted right up, everything!! its on my car now, not custom pypes bends nothing! Then i went to my local muffler shop and had them make 2.25 catback with a flowmaster muffler! It WILL bolt up! And yes it comes with all gaskets and bolts needed! I put mine on in like 20 minutes!

It will bolt up, but the bends are wrong. This will lead to premature gasket failure at the cat, and too much stress on the ball and socket joint.
