tampering with odomoter?

ok so i ahve a 91 Z24 whcih for some reason has a base cavalier gauge cluster in it i grabbed a Z24 cluster from the yard but the JY cluster only has 205kms where as the 1 from the car has 280kms is there away to remove the 2 odomoters and switch htem so the 280km is in the Z24 cluster? i got a carfax report done and teh 280km is the correct reading

ohh ya i guess i wasnt payin attention and pulled a gauge cluster from a 92+ with ABS so the stupid ABS light stays lit constantly,i jsut pulled the bulb out for the ABS,is that fine?

I set my Sunbird Odometer back to zero when I built the engine.
It is not just poossible... it's downright easy..

you should be able to swap them out, as I did it with mine a few years back.

^^^^^ I wasn't aware it was illegal to tamper the milage on an unregistered, untagged drag vehicle. Better start cuffing the people with nothing but a tach mounted to their roll cages!

ahh...see, you didn't specify, and since MOST of the people on this forum are doing things to their DAILY DRIVERS, it's easy to assume that it's a legal vehicle.

specify next time, will you? not all of us know what everyone else on the forum owns and drives.

you can roll the kms back if you take off the clear plastic part.

Removing the ABS bulb is fine. The 90-91 didnt have that feature. In fact I found a 92 cluster for my 91 at the time. I put bulbs in all the empty slots and the ABS was lit. Its my belief that the bulb is grounded completing the circuit and harms nothing.
