Have you checked the Negative Battery cable at the Battery connection and at the chassis earth point(s)?

Almost sounds like a bad connection somewhere in the Negative or Positive feed to the starter.

Worth cleaning the contacting points anyway

make sure everything on the starter is tight. and like ALONT said, check your terminal wires. for looseness and corrosion.

You say it wont turn over. What does that mean to you? No crank? Cranks but no start? I've run into this phrase before and it doesnt mean the same thing to every one.

Does it stall at all after running for a while?

Unless you just want to change those parts any way, you need to find out what is causing the no start. There is no way that you like to change the ignition module or coils more than once. Been there it sucks. Any way You need to find out if its getting spark, fuel pressure and injector pulse. get these things and It runs. You may change those parts that you said that you ordered and its fine. But since its intermittent wouldnt you like to know for sure that a part is bad before driving it some where.

unlikely that its the batt cables because it cranks.

Intermittent problems are the hardest ones do diagnose, so dont give up.

Do you have a header or any excessive overheating?

I have no clue where the starter is in a J-body, but it could be getting heat soaked.. just a possibility.

if the engine is turning, replacing the starter would be a little goofy. Is it even trying to start? Does it put? Does ANYTHING happen while it cranks? Can you smell fuel coming from the tail pipe while cranking? Can you hear the fuel pump turn on when the key turns? Does it have full normal power when it reaches temperature? Have you done a compression test while it is hot? Have you put a high energy ignition tester to it while hot?

If you can't answer all of those questions, you shouldn't be buying anything for it yet.

Ok well if your engine it turning when your trying to start it and it no start. The problem isn't with your starter. My Girl had this problem with her Lumina. Had a 3100 in her. What went on her car what the air idle control valve. Id go out and push the pin in and shed start.

Check for codes on the ecm.First is the crank shaft position sensor (19) and also code (35) idle air control or iac valve.Being u have upgraded ur coil I would not rule it out but,a the above are probably a most likely unless the check valve for the fuel is gone bad which inturn does not throw a code, its about doing a diagnostic like verifying fuel going to the rail and proper fuel pressure coming from the pump.Check those things provided it is just turning over with no start going on as it is now. That is where I would start to narrow down the issue.
