Here is something i found on a site a while back when i wanted to turbo my Sunbird LE.

You will need:
T-25 turbo, turbo exhaust manifold, higher psi fuel pump, downpipe, oiling lines, boost controller, fuel pressure regulator, dual gauge pod (gaugepods.com), air fuel meter, boost gauge, exhaust manifold gasket, oil pan gasket, plenty of vaccume hose, various hose clamps, vaccume "T" fittings, a 1-way check valve, pistons from a 2.0 turbo engine (to lower compression, and they are forged), and probably a few other parts I forgot to mention.

Also get a chilton's manual, it might help you in assembling your engine with these parts. I'd actually get someone who knows what they are doing to help you set it all up. Rememer, the easiest way to turbocharge your 2.0 is just to swap it for an already turbocharged 2.0 engine!

Got it from LT3engine.tk Some good info in the Info/Specs section.

i see you have a cavalier, meaning its a 2.0 ohv. your easyest way to turbo it is get a 2.0l turbo motor from a sunbird and drop it in with the wiring harness, ecm, tranny, and all related things.

I have an 84 Skyhawk with a 92+ 2.0 OHC that I want to turbo. I already have the exhaust manifold, turbo, and wastegate. Now all I need is to figure out where the oil and coolant lines connect and make an air box to push it thru the tbi... I think... lol. I have the Chiltons and Haynes manuals and neither of them talk about the turbo connections. Ive searched in here and havent come up with anything yet. Anyone around Houston with this setup that might be able to help me out?

I plan on living forever... so far so good

just run oil cooled and block off the coolant passages in the turbo.
the oil feed is in the back of the block theres a little threaded cap that takes a torqus bit to get out or you could just T off you oilpressure sending unit.
Ive done it on a 92 Sunbird LE on stock internals and running 8 psi with no problems.need any more help you can email me

Swap to the 2.0 turbo engine and trans. Find a donor car and swap, or better yet.. buy another car, as you'll get the GT suspension and steering too which is well worth it. Trying to run higher power thru the N/A version and trans is asking for part failure as it was never designed too handle any more power then stock. When an OEM changes parts for a higher output motor it's a clue that they NEEDED too.

I havent had any problems and I got everything from a 89Grand Am and the tanny was the same as the one in mine they are both automatics so if the grand am tranny held up to mine should and has

Yes botht he N/A sunbirds and turbo sunbirds, when automatic use the TH125C 3 speed w/ locking covnerter auto trans. Even 3rd gens used this trans for a while.

The difference is that the turbo auto trans has a higher rpm stall rating on the converter, different gear ratios AND a different final drive ratio. You'll be blowing thru tires like crazy in low gears because of how short the n/a gearing is.

I have yet to confirm it but I bet the turbo auto trans also has upgraded clutches and bands too and perhaps a higher interal pressure (IE a shift kit) because they felt different quite different from N/A trans and the trans definetly needs to hold more power.

That being said the auto trans doesn't even hold up that well to the STOCK power of a sunbird turbo, with the sunbird turbo auto trans, when racing. The TH125C especially stock, is not a strong trans.

The HM282 5 speed found in 2.0 sunbird turbos is nearly indestrictable as far as a FWD 5 speed trans go. You will blow a stock motor long before you blow the stock trans. Guys like Curtis walker have pushed 300 + lbs/tq thru them no problem on slicks over and over.

The isuzu MK7 trans found in the n/a applications is NOT strong at all, and is why GM switched to the HM282 for the turbo models. It also has poor / short gearing stock as well. The HM282's gearing is long and has a different final drive.
