hey all,

i recently got a job done at a garage, they replaced a couple of injectors that were leaking.

my car is a '94 Cavalier 2.2L (same engine as from '94 to '97, pre 2200) and i am wondering how many injectors there are on this engine. i figured just 1 single injector, but they say they replaced 2 and i have the receipt for it.. i am just concerned because as far as i know this model 2.2 is a TBI? did i get ripped off or is there really more than 1 injector in my '94 2.2?????

ya u should have 4 unless someone was stupid and swapped in teh TBI motor lol my 90 4dr has teh TBI 2.2 and i dont like it lol

icic... i'm not sure what my engine is, it doesnt say "TBI" or "multi port" or anything anywhere...

The 92-97 is an MPFI (multi port fuel injection), meaning, one injector per port, not one total in the throttle body. So, yours is the 2.2 MPFI

And a disaster area, from the looks of it...

yup.. so was the rest of the car for that matter

@!#$ boys chill out, i didnt mess it up. i got the car for free and i didnt get to work on the engine yet.

i guess i brought it on myself by posting the pic. but its not like i'm showing off my engine bay or anything. wtf is wrong with the org lately? no respect for anything in progress on here... my car isnt close to done, i'm doing one thing at a time, and i was a bit more concerned with getting the bodywork and paint done and a completely new front end right from the crossmembers to control arms to struts, balljoints, sway bar, etc.... you know stuff that you need in order to be safe for yourself and other drivers.

the engine wasnt the ABSOLUTE #1 thing on my to do list, but plans were in the works... just had more important things that had to be done first and i work 60 + hrs a week so chill the @!#$ out.
