2nd gen cav owners who painted their interior

the kinda hard/fake leather/vinyl dash.... it can be sanded?

and the panels around the doors (on coupes i'm sure, duno about sedans)

the top panel above the door is metal in mine, are yours?

and on the bottom panel under the door it says body by fisher.. is this OEM or did someone have my interior redone within the last 17 years?

RDG did it in his car. I think he used some sort of really thick primer to fill the texture, and then sanded it after that.

Fisher Body Company is basically the GM coachwork division (but I haven't seen anything marked since the mid 90's). Its factory.

yesh the fisher stuff is part of GM my cav has it and our GM says it on the sill plates

so the metal piece is normal? i just painted it black with some leftover brake caliper paint... came out nice but smells funny... hope that goes away..
