hi
i switched my plug wires, air filter, etc i'm wanting to switch my PCV valve at the same time but it doesn't seem to want to pull out. i'm going by the manual which says to just pull it out of the socket in the back of the valve cover but it will not pull out.
so i figured i'd try to loosen the grommet around it (found out it's made of plastic) and it wont loosen anyway.. how do i get the valve to pull out?
thanks

ok disregard that... i got it out, but broke the round plastic fitting that screws into the valve cover to hold it in place.. i have it held in for now, but is it hard to get a new plastic fitting? and what would be the name of it?
anyway the engine idles much better now, i am just concerned about how i broke the plastic thing that screws in there.. and what the name of it would be
thanks for helping out a newb

i'm not sure what its called but i'd bet the house your local parts store has it.. just tell them the plastic thing on my pcv valve...
sweet, thanks for the reply
yeah i guess they break from time to time.. by the looks of it it the valve wasnt changed in quite awhile, and the plastic thing was extremely brittle lol..
thanks again

no problem..
i think i might wanna check mine out myself..
You can't get it at a parts store. Its dealer only. I've broken several of them. Its called a "valve retainer" or something like that.
