Well, I just purchased a 89 Sunbird GT Conv turbo car.
Here is a picture. Needs a motor cause it threw a rod. What do you think would be a good price for this car so I know if I got a good deal or not. Only rust found is on the doors.

i'd say $200, needs a rebuild, new top, interior work, you don't know if the tranny works, no radio, rust all over the floor pannels and molding coming up.
just my opinion though
actually, the only rust is the doors, the body is solid. The interior needs a good cleaning, and carpet replaced, but that isn't a big deal. Turbo appears to be good as well as the rest of the valve train aside from the block. The tranny works good cause I drove it half way to where it is before the motor quit (hole in the block and all) Also comes with a 2nd tranny that I need to pick up still.
Top is $150 on ebay
Motor is $375 at the yard here
5 spd tranny is $375 here
5 spd swap parts are another $40 here
So I am hoping that with another $800 plus my labor I can get this on the road in 5 spd form by next spring at the latest.

$5-600 at most. I paid $800 for my 89 TBI hardtop a few years ago...no rust, engine was perfect.
well, the car for me is just a toy, and I don't plan on the top being up much, so cheap would be fine. I did get it for $200, so I am not out much and if I don't decide to fix it, I'll be parting it as the topend is still good on the motor. I will probably at minimum be getting the motor and swapping that off the other car. If someone wants to buy the head/intake/turbo/piping off me if I can get the other car, make an offer for them cause that will help me purchase the whole other car for parts.
