subframes are the same in all first gen j-bodies. all you need to actualy mount a 3400 in any j-body is the front mount bracket, either custom build one or order a prefabbed one. also need the j-body v6 rear mount bracket. all the rubber mounts themselves are the same no matter what motor you have.

all 1st and 2nd gens are the same subframe.

why would you need the subframe??? the only part of it that bolts to the motor is the dogbone mount, and it bolts to the tranny. there is no change in the bracket location on the subframe for the dogbone during any years of production. i personaly know a guy whe went from a 2.2l to a 3400, and he didnt change the subframe.

Just to back up sharkey-

all the subframes are the same. All the actual mounts (not the brackets) are the same. As said, the only thing needed to drop in a 3400 is the custom mount bracket up front. Check out www.domesticcrew.com.
