Anyone ever have a problem with the fan relay melting on their Cavalier 3.1L V6? The car overheated the other day while sitting and I noticed the fan did not turn on at all. I pulled the relay and the plug that the relay plugs into was melted. This is on my 91 Cavalier Z24.
You sure your fan motor isn't damaged? It should blow the fuse, I assume you have the stock rated fuse in the fuse block.
Check the fan to make sure it spins freely. I had a fan burn up the wiring, because the fan was jamed against the shroud.
