Is the check engine light on? If so pull the code, then troubleshoot and repair what the code tells you to. Has the car been tuned up lately? That is another thing to look at. What about clogged fuel injectors? You may want to run some good injector cleaner through, heck, you may want to see if it's just plain old bad gas. I use Lucas in my car. Is the car dying out only when coming to a stop? Maybe it's the TCC switch. As you can see there are a number of things that it can be, so before throwing parts at it diagnose the underlying issue first, then repair it.
