Does anyone know how to eliminate or at least raise up the rev limiter on a 94 Cavalier with a 2.2. We are racing at a local dirt track and running up against it. If not, any suggestions would help. Thanks.............
would need a chip burned, but its not that simple on your ecm. your ecm (iirc) has the chip coldered to the board, so its not easily replaced. im not exactly sure what can be done for this, so ill leave it up to the 2.2 guys.

Hey, just the answer I wanted to know. I came here looking for what the redline is on a 1993 Cavalier 2.2 and what rpm the rev limiter is located at. I've been bouncing off the rev limiter quite a bit recently and I'd like to know how much abuse these engines can take.
