Can someone tell me what exactly this is, and what the lines are supposed to go to? It sits on the second head stud from the right on between the fuel rail and the cam housing.

boost conrol solenoid: 3 to throttle body 1 or 2 goes to the wastegate solenoid on the turbo and the other gets vented to atmosphere, also, there should be a 2 wire plug going into that unit as well.

thanks, does it matter which of the two goes to the wastegate and which is vented?

jason it does, but i can't remember which one goes where, AFIR mine had a lil foam filter on it....

#2 goes to the wastegate on mine. Of course mine looks a little different. It's the original one though.
how much faster (if they are) are the turbo sunbirds than the 90-94 cavis
the turbo sunbird are the fastest production j-body made. they were 165hp/175ft/lb torque, putting them 25hp over the 3.1 and almost the same torque. the official numbers from gm were 15.4 at 88mph, however they are actualy faster, in the low 15s.

Can I get some more feedback, is this correct? Mine should be stock, I don't think this car has had anything changed, it still had the stock GT+4 tires till a week ago.lol

before I boost controlled my car.....

2 - atmosphere....should have a little filter on it.
just went and checked my car, kruger is right.
^^Thanks guys, that's what I was thinking but was unsure. Can anyone get me a pic of this filter? mine has a vac. hose(hardline) that goes from right behind the battery to the firewall, and I thought that #2 in my pic went to that, but when I got the car this line was not connected to anything.....just a cut off piece of vac. hose and nothing on the boost control solenoid.
