Replacing heater core - '94 Sunbird

Alright, I'm working on replacing the heater core on my girlfriend's 1994 Sunbird 2.0 OHC, and I'm wondering what the easiest way to get to the heater core is. I haven't received the books for the car yet, but this needs to be done by this weekend and I don't know if I'll have them by then. Any help or quick pointers would be great.

Also, what's the easiest way to get the car into the air with a hydraulic jack? I can't seem to reach any solid points from which to lift it. Thanks for the help.

i did mine in 45 minutes, shop time is around 3 hours.

remove the center console and there are 4 screws on the heater box. remove those screws and pull the pannel down, and thats the heater core. you will need to get under the car and undo the hose clamps and revome the coolant hoses. there are 4 screws that hold it it, remove them and itll come right out.

No solid points? You must have a ton of rust. Mine took an hour and a half. Your jacking point is not too far behind the front fender. You should be bale to see some indentation for a jack head. Ohh, make sure you use some jackstands before getting under your car.

you have to lift these cars one side at a time when lifting the front. either get under the subframe from just behind the front tire or jack on the body lip, just go back far enough with the jack so you can still get a jackstand under the front ofthe body lip.
