body parts such as fenders, trunk lids, hoods, and rear quarterpanels for my 89?
if they're aftermarket, will they be metal or fiberglass?
i know a lot about my car but rust always seems to outsmart me
your best bet is a junkyard. have a look at some cars, there are lots out there with no rust, you just gotta keep your eye out for them. there are aftermarket suppliers, and i beleive fenders, rocker sills, and patch pannels for the quarters are avalible.
if you have to replace quarter pannels, time to find another car. you could likley find another car, even a z24 with less or no rust for less than it will cost to replace all the rusted pannels on your car
u think i should make a thread offering a commission to any member of this site for finding me an 89 cav with little or no rust?
because i live in the DC/MD area and these things aren't so common around here (people aren't patient enough to have their cars repaired so the road is littered with 94 vehicles and up)
I'd bet the thread would get locked. Try using car-part.com and looking in Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and any other midwestern states. I know what you mean about finding rust free cars. I live in New Hampshire. We go to Maryland to find nice parts.
