91 Cavalier VL/RS

Hey I am new here. I am checking out this Cavalier at my local Toyota dealer. They want $200 for it. It has 140,000kms and it was owned by an elderly lady. She has owned it since 94. She babied it so the only rust is on the rockers. The underbody even looks clean because she didn't like to drive after dark or in the winter. The interior is clean and the rear seat even has the dealer plastic on it. The engine runs well but I was told it needs a Valve Cover Gasket job because the oil is leaking down the front of the engine. Is it worth it? Can the rockers be fixed?

BUY IT! These things last until 400,000 miles. They're indestructible. Once you fix the gasket this thing is going to be a tank.

You'll probably have to replace a head gasket within a year or so, too. I'd still buy the car.

for $200 you can't go wrong............ the valve cover gasket is really easy on those, on mine i just retorqued the bolts and shampooed the engine and it stopped the leak, rockers you can buy replacements for like $40 a side and weld them in or if theres no holes grind em down and paint them with rust paint

200? Hell yeah you should buy it. I know down here for one in that condition with a nigce clean up and the oil leak fixed I could sell it for more than a thousand.
