Well my oil pump went out so i decided to go ahead and tear it down for the rebuild i've been planing to do. I've done some searching and sent some PM's but i still don't know the part #s for ARP rod, head, or main studs. If anybody has some info on those please let me know. Well heres the pics, i should have more soon.

I am interested in your intercooler set up. Can you tell me how you did it?

Do you have any plans on upping the performance on your engine with the rebuild?

I did a head on mine just back in October, the head gasket was leaking.
I guess it was leaking for a little too long, cause about two weeks later, (I'm assuming from having coolant in the cylinders) my #1 cylinder rod blew out the front of the block, and managed to smoke the piston off my brand new $500 head.
took me till about two weeks ago to find another engine and then just drop it in.
New motor burns oil though - think its in the valve seals/guides - looks like i have to do another head. Probably should have done a full rebuild while i had the motor on a stand, but was tight on cash already from doing the first head replacment

I think I've had my motor in and out 12 times since September of 05 when I bought the car. They are a piece of cake once you know what you are doing. I pulled it three times with an automatic transmission and the rest with a manual. Manual is DEFFINATELY easier. Have fun with your build.

ARP head studs:
209-4301
ARP main studs:
209-5401
ARP rod bolts:
109-6001
ARP flywheel bolts:
209-2801
0.051" Cometic MLS headgasket:
W6424-1
0.065" Cometic MLS headgasket

no problem, let me know if you need to find parts like pistons, rods, adjustable cam gears, stroker cranks, bolt on dry sumps, ect... I'll point you in the right directions.

so your saying you can use the cometic head gasket and all have to do is drill it out? would it cause any heating issues after you drill it out?

You don't have to drill anything. That gasket is made to work with that engine block, the LT3 (US), C20let (dohc turbo Euro), C20xe (dohc N/A Euro), C20get (sohc turbo Euro), and all of the other 2.0 GM variations use the SAME EXACT engine block produced at the same factory. You can swap the headgaskets, you can swap to DOHC, you can use the crank, the beefier connecting rods with floating wrist pins and beefier pistons. I've built up some connections while building my current motor and have learned of some bolt on parts that are just crazy! I'm talking about parts that they don't even make for the ecotec that you can buy off a shelf for the 2.0 turbo.

The headgasket works. You don't have to trust me but at least 5 people on the site are running it without modifications. Our stock headgasket is cut to the shape of the block, the cometic is cut to the shape of the Euro head which lines up perfectly. I have a picture somewhere of the two gaskets overlaid that I will post if I can find it.

The screen is not finished yet but is coming out really good. The hood scoop is off a 2002 WRX. I'm still thinking about if i want to put it on there.
