New Beginnings - [TZ-3] / Part out (Look)

That's Right kiddies, TZ3

I'm sure you all remember the faithful demise of TZ2, with 14 psi boost melting large holes in the pistons. From where this left us, enter TZ3 - Another, 1994 Z24 Convertible -- red, with a black top... This one's an auto though. Transmission is blown.

I do plan to boost this eventually, but doing it the 'right' way this time -- even if it takes a few years.

** I am going to part out my other '93 z24, TZ2, if anyone needs anything... Just PM me Thanks! **

Interested in seeing what everyones been up to lately.

Of Course i'm sttill around! HAH!

I've gotten into several "other" cars since the Z project, none of which were built by GM or its subsidaries. Unfortunately I see that after 1994 there were no real "good" gm products, and its not that we haven't tried. We've owned several newer cars, all are plagued by problems:

2000 Olds Bravada - Viscuous torsen differential locked up, rendering the vehicle useless. Traded in for Rendezvoux ...

2002 Buick Rendezvoux - Transmission went at 17,500 miles, oil pump ceased at 31,500 engine replaced under warranty, input shaft of transmission whining again at 38k miles GM will not warranty - sold & got Toyota Highlander Hybrid.

1999 Buick Park Avenue "SE" - Power window motors died, air ride suspension motors died, as well as the sensors. Still hasn't been right since we bought it. Misfires when cold despite numerous trips to the dealer.

1998 Buick Park Avenue Ultra - Supercharger replaced under warranty, then the idler pulley snapped off and got stuck inside the crank pulley, shearing other idlers off the engine. Spent a weekend welding nuts onto what was left of studs so that i could replace tensioners, only to find i had to DROP THE ENGINE to change the belt. Numerous electrical issues, memory mirrors have tons of issues, memory seats are posessed, simply put -- and air ride is screwed up in this one too. Heated seats don't work despite replacing teh seats and verifying the element has power.

1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP - My old car. Traded this in for a subaru with every single light on the dashboard illuminated for half of what i owed on it. Don't get me started, but if my previous rip looked 'incredibly tough' i'd rip this beast to shame.

Since i've been totally into subarus, have owned several...

1/19/2004 - bought 2003 Subaru Legacy "L" Spec. Edition - 5 sp sedan. Bought 3 days before the new '05' legacy was released in the new body style.

1/11/2006 - Bought a new 2006 Legacy GT Limited (Fully loaded) 5 Sp. Tiptronic Sedan - Sold to my sister due to my employment situation. Took a beating on that one!

10/24/06 - Bought '94 Legacy L 5 speed wagon, 114k on it. Did timing belt and water pump, as well as a CV replacement "for safe measures" -- runs great. Soon to recieve a Legacy Sport powertrain (EJ22T) with moderate boost.

My website is http://www.turbochargedsoul.com/gallery/ for pics of the cars. have tons!

You need to put an ER27 in the Legacy like we talked about.

I might be interested in some parts. I'll email you.
