Hi all, quick question. 94 cavalier, 2.2L automatic 3 speed.
Car will be fine working great, then randomly when you stop the car will stall / die. I can put it in park and start it again, and even put it into neutral, but once I put it into D or 1,2, it stalls and dies. If I wait with the car off for 5-10 minutes it starts back up and runs fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Tweak.

torque converter lock up solenoid is pooched, look right under the air cleaner its the plug sticking out in front of the trans, un plug it and drive the car for a few days, if it stops stalling then replace the solenoid, they're fairly cheap and saves your gas mileage
ok thanks.... my friend has the car right now and he cant seem to find the plug. Its under the air cleaner for a 2.2 right not a v6, cause I thought a v6 the airbox is in a different location.
