Well, it's been a few years, but my rod knocking 89 Sunbird GT conv 2.0Turbo motor has been sent out for rebuilding... With any luck they will be able to spare her.
wish me luck, for about 3 years or so, the engine has been dissassembled... with any luck they can machine and polish it all... well, I said it probably needed to be reringed, lol
While its apart why dont you get a daewoo DOHC 16v head for it and a bigger turbo, its an easy swap. I have all the details if your interested.
There is guys pushing 300HP with this set up, which is pretty nuts compared to what the 8v version can do, I also have sources for forged rods and pistons for a decent price that work out no matter what rout you go (16v or 8v)
