Blowing ECM fuse
Sunday, April 01, 2007 8:45 PM
This is not the first time this has happened, but the first time in a long time. Had just left a light, and was accelerating and the car dies. Fuse to ECM blown. I replaced it and drove the rest of my way, then almost home it blew again, while about to accelerate from a stop. At least the second time I wasn't stuck in the middle of three lanes in traffic, which really sucked. Any ideas as to what might cause this or what to look for as far as possibilities?

the ecm fuse powers quite a bit so it could be hard to track down. ill have a look at some scematics and see if i can come up with some things to check out. start by looking for at the wiring harness to see if its rubbed through any wires and causing a short (when you accelerate the motor torques over, that can short a wire out if its bare).

what year, car and motor???
