This morning i started my car and found out my brake lights don't work. Is there a fuse or something i can check for because all 3 tail lights on my 94 2dr le sunbird out are. when i flip the switch for the lights, they work but when i press the brake, they brake lights don't work.
I did the fan switch mod last week, i don't think i cut through anywires, but are there wires around the pedals that are for the rear brake lights. my bro is driving me to work, hopefully its an easy fix i can do tonight. please help

check the fuse out first, there is one on the fuse panel check out your owners manual for its location, also it could be a brakeswitch its mounted on the brake pedal bracket
id check the brake light switch on the pedal. also try replacing a bulb, you may just have all 3 burnt out.
Well, I checked my brake light switch on the pedal, and its not getting a constant 12v source. So i guess i need to search for a open circuit or a bad ground somewhere. The fuse looks fine too. This is going to be a pita. You guys were right on the money tho, thanks for the heads up.

Well, i tested my hazard lights also, they dont work on the guage cluster or the exterier hazard lights. And my car makes a strange one or two clicking kind of sound when you turn the key to start position after the fuel pump finishes priming.

Well, i fixed my car guys. The fuse i checked before said Tail so i assumed it was for the brake lights. I noticed in my manual that the hazards/brake switch is on the same circuit and they use a s/lp fuse. So i swapped my courtesy fuse over to the s/lp side beacuse theyre rated the same and the brake lights work again. Everyone should be ok now as long as i don't have a bad short. Thanks for the suggestions guys, much appreciated. It would of sucked taking the bus to work today. lol
