pretty good #'s sk8, i wish my 2.0 would dyno those numbers, but i'd highly doubt it, especially with my cool-ass speed holes in the muffler

Not bad numbers for a 2.2 either, that head should help out a bit as well.

yea well sorry i havent been on here as much (internet problems) but on a side note some little basterd kid on a bike just slamed ito the back of her !!!!! cracked the back bumper and ripped out some of the suports for the bumper
that and the ign lock and key just went out of her (178.99 bucks) so thare went the buget for puting the head on the car...

if any one has a lock cyl and key for sale (read cheap here) i might b able to get this head on thare yet.

thanks for all the nice words and coments

Tilt or non tilt? Manual or auto? I might have a spare here.

Sometimes I've been able to get it to clear up by using lock cyl lube and an air gun. Use tons of the stuff... it will get all over everything if you're not careful. And it sometimes takes getting a new key "cut" by the dealer (don't let them copy your old worn key, that just results in a brand new worn key). If the local dealer doesn't charge too much you might want to try that. Bring license, reg, and key with ya. They usually want to see it for their records.

that would b great if ya had one manual non tilt

im hoping to get this thing at least driveable so i can go the the bash with it ....... itl b her first year!

i dont think that a new key will help ..... it wont stay in the run position it just starts the engine then when i let go of the key flips back to the off position ... oh and then the key is a beiotch to get out of the cyl but any advice is apreasiated

Well, that figures. The only manual / non tilt one I've got is installed in a car and I can't strip it right now. The extra cylinder is from an auto trans car (just looked). No button to press when turning the key back.

Maybe it's just your switch?? The cylinder assembly usually turns completely free when the switch is removed from it. Here's a picture of the switch removed from the cylinder.

I think that's the same for both types of transmissions.

yea maby ........ ill disconect it and see what happends but if it is the cyl . would the auto work (just no buttion) if so i may still b intrasted......

Auto cyl might work. I think there's a cable which prevents the key from turning to lock unless the shifter's in park. With the cable unhooked you might be able to lock the wheel accidentally while driving.

on my race car. 2.2 5 spd, 12:1 compression, race gas, stock head 2.25 open pipe dumps in fornt of rr tire, homemade carburated intake manifold and custom distributor, 450 lift cam with 250 duration, weber 32/36 two barrel carb made 157 hp and 162 ft lbs at the wheels in 3rd gear, we race in third that those are the only pulls we made, it easily burns the tires shifting from 2nd to 3rd in the race

man, you guys should try a V6 swap...

241.5 WHP@ 6300
220 TQ @ 5200

So around 280 Crank HP and 250 TQ

and that's on an extremely rough tune. Should be closer to 300 WHP after it's all worked out...We'll know for sure in September.
