I was wondering how many miles you could go on a stock 2200. B/C im tryin to buy another J before i go to college b/c im not taking my 99 GT to wyotech. Its to nice of a car to take it up there and have it rust plus im want to keep it down here. Im plaining on puttin my boosted Ld9 under the hood. anyway theres a 94 5spd Cavi thats for sale near my house and the guy wants 300 bucks for it nothing is wrong with it the inside needs some tlc not much tho but the motor as 207k miles on it. Should i get it and just drive it till i come across another 2200 or should i forget it and keep lookin? Thanks for the help

well i spun a rod berring on mine at 162k ... but ive known of people putting up to 300k but they gave intensive massive care to their engine.

I had 95 2.2l in the shop the other day had 300,00 Km on it and broke the chain, and bent 5 vavles too.
My plains for the car are to tape it off and spray paint it flat black or just black. lower it 2 inchs and take my stock wheels off my GT and slap them on the Cavi. What do you guys think of that would it look ok? thanks

My 2.2 has 211768 miles and there nothing wrong with it, and I drive it daily not far but I run about 1100miles a month roughly.
I don't know j-body's yet........but I will!
If its a beater. Go for it. Don't sink a lot of cash into it, save for your fire.

im pushing 200k on my 94, ive rebuilt the top end. and replaced the clutch
89 2.0 ( basicly same engine ) 300k + and still going strong lol
312,789 miles but my trans is screwed, so until I find a nice replacement it's just sitting there.
we took a 2.2 with 175000 miles put a .070 shaved head on it and raced it 600 laps over 4 weeks at 5500 rpm and it is still going
200k ain't @!#$..Buy it
I have a 175k 2.2 and its still trucking along quite well!
