we have a '90 cavalier and i know of a couple donor cars for my project. one is the exact same, and one is a 94 but i cant remember if its a Z24 or not, kinda dont think so. i know theres 2 phases of the 2nd gen but will the trunk from the 94 bolt right up on the 90? and we want the back seats and trunk liner from the 94 for the 90. we also want to use all the wheels and tires from the 94 for the 90..bolt pattern is still the same right? thanks in advance!
a 94 trunk fits the 90, but a coupe fits a coupe and a sedan fits a sedan, so if one is a coupe and one a sedan it won't work. seats and trunk liner will fit. the bolt pattern on the wheels is the same, just 94's usually have 14s and 90's usually have 13s. thats good, though, because you won't have any clearance issues. just your speedometer might be a little off from the larger diameter rolling stock. also if you have your tailight lenses, you will probably either want to keep the one from the 90 and attach it to the 94 trunk, or take the corners from the 94 for the 90 and keep the one in the trunk, becuase the tails are a little different, they will fit in any case, but they will look a little funny mismatched.
thanks alot, and yah both are coupes.. one more tho, how about a doors?
Any 2nd gen coupe body panel will fit any other 2nd gen coupe. If you're using parts off a Z model, it will have studs for the door skirts that will need to be removed. If using non Z parts on a Z, you will need to attach the skirt clips with screws or something.
just wondering, but you wouldnt happen to have a set of fairly rust free doors with power locks and windows with the plastic door panels would you?? Thanks.
