has anyone tried this? i have been thinking about it for my dirt track car.. opinions or help would be great thanks
I thought someone did it with a Beretta, but I've never seen a 2.4 powered gen 2. There was an ecotec swapped Sunbird so I imagine it could be done. I have no idea what you'd need to make it work aside from the usual swap things (engine, trans, ecu, wiring harness, etc.).

ya. i;m sure it would work.. just have to figure out the mounts and prob have to shorten or lengthen the cv shafts
Lookup "Speedvisioncavalier", he did this swap with a Quad 4 or 2.4 I can't remember but it was a while back. Would make for a fun car
can;t find the profile.. does he still exist?
he hasn't been on the site in a while.. emailed but never got a response. anyone know of anyone else who has done this swop?
Somewhere he did a short How To write up at one point. You'd have to search both here and on V6Z24.com to find it. I'm not sure if it's even around anymore....

Here is another writeup of his

Hope that helps some
I did the 2.3HO swap using his info as a guide. Started with a Beretta GTZ as a donar, and having the whole car helped.
Taking the time to carfully strip the GTZ of the harness was the key. The mechanical part of the swap was pretty straight forward.
Runs pretty good with a bit of nitrous.

You have your own reasoning and personal tastes, but I've wondered since I saw the build thread originally: Why not use the Beretta GTZ body?
