90 cavalier no electrical power whatsover. The car has been sitting for a few years. Today i tried to crank and it did for a split second and now no electrical power whatsover.
Need step-by-step instructions for what to do next. Thanks.
Check both battery cables on both ends and make sure the connections are clean and shiney.
Have had a starter short out internally and had the same results you describe.
That would be the first things to check.

Yes. Both clean and shiny
Take out the starter and test, look also for fusable links that are burned.
