Well i did it, purchased the tein SS coilovers for my jcar, and i did search and found nothing, but how is the install for these, do they come with directions, is the install easy. Hopefully the rain will letup when they arrive and I can get them in ASAP. Next on the list is sway bars, then i think my suspension is done.
So yeah install note would be very helpfull, thank you all!
They come with basic instructions. It's pretty easy overall. The same as any other strut anyway.
I was with Event when he did his....
And I mean this literally with all seriousness....
Out of the box and on the car.
That's why I have some on order for myself.
Probably should have gotten the EDFC but tax return is coming up so I can wait.

Well ok,
For the fronts, you may wanna go to Home Deopit or Lowes or something and get
two 8mm nuts.
Cause as you know, There are 2 8mm nuts and the one 8 mm bolt.
Well. on the Teins. That one bolt they have coming up through the mount.
Well, you'll see, its no big deal.

if you know how to remove a strut, you can install these
Tein SS install is really easy. EDFC install takes time though.

FYI - the Tein SS listed on ebay are not from an authorized dealer, do not have camber plates, and are likely counterfeit.
bump
is eric remo correct about that?

well i called and he said they do come with camber plates, and are from TEIN directly, we will see when they arrive, if they are fake holy crap im going to have to go to war, but then again look at his ebay, so many postiives, and all th enegatives have been lame, not one person has said conterfeit part
Exactly, we should BE LUCKY Tein made these for us. Best option yet. Personally I wouldn't have bothered with the J community had I been Tein.
If I keep the Cav I think these might be in the future.
so if they are counterfet what are my options in getting my money back, can i fight it with the CC company, paypal or what?
i still want to see why they are pirated, the guy said these come with the front camber plates, did you ever purchase them to see if they were, im going to take photos of them and upload them so people with TEIN can let me kow thanks!
When I contacted Complete Motorsport, they indicated that they do not come with camber plates. When I contacted TEIN, they said Complete Motorsport did not purchase them from TEIN, so they did not know about what Complete Motorsport was selling. I was going to purchase from Complete Motorsport, but never got a response when I asked him about why their's have no camber plates. If Complete Motorsport is saying that they are from TEIN directly, but TEIN is saying that Complete Motorsport is not an authorized dealer, it makes me wonder about Complete Motorsport. You may want to contact TEIN directly to see what they say. I do hope I'm wrong in my suspicions, and that the coilovers you purchased are geniune TEIN and not cheap black market knockoffs.
well complete motorsport never told me they orderd through tein, they said they got them through another purchaser. Still does anyone have teins number (I could only find their email) to see if there is a way i could verify they are infact legit coilovers. Maybe when event sees the pictures he can tell me if anythign is off
I know what they should look like.
Was with Event when he installed his.
But here's a link to his post:
